Dr. Lori Vavul-Roediger graduated with Honors from the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine with a medical degree.
She completed a pediatrics residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, affiliated with The Ohio State University, and subsequently a subspecialty fellowship in Child Abuse Pediatrics at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, affiliated with Brown Medical School. Dr. Vavul-Roediger holds board certifications from The American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and also Child Abuse Pediatrics.
Dr. Vavul-Roediger previously served as Medical Director for Forensic Pediatrics (Child Abuse Pediatrics) at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, then as Medical Director for the Department of Child Advocacy at Dayton Children’s Hospital, then as Medical Director for Foster and Kinship Care at Dayton Children’s Hospital prior to most recently working as a primary care pediatrician for children in foster and kinship care.
Dr. Vavul-Roediger has over 20 years of experience caring for pediatric patients from infancy to young adulthood. She employs a holistic approach to patient and family care, with special focus on social determinants of health, trauma-informed care, and emphasis on patient and family strengths and education.
