Dr. Peterson is a health psychologist, college professor, and writer. He earned his doctorate in psychology from Wright State University before working extensively with the Department of Veterans Affairs (Director of Medical Education) and as faculty for the residency programs with the 88th Medical Operations Readiness Squadron at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center. He holds academic appointments at the Department of Specialty Medicine, Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Ohio University as well as Wright State University’s School of Medicine (Department of Psychiatry). He has coauthored or coedited four books on health topics, including the 2020 college textbook, The Gender Revolution & New Sexual Health (Cognella Academic Press, San Diego).
